IMMEDIATE CASTING FOR SUBS & SWING ROLES!

“Shades of Sinatra” Show at Clarion Hotel & Casino (formerly The Greek Isles)

AUDITIONS FOR SINGERS: Saturday, April 2, 2011, 11am- 5pm (must submit promo materials to lovinjazzinvegas@gmail.com by March 31, 2011 to be considered for an audition)

CALL-BACKS: Thursday, April 7, 2011, 3-6pm

All cast members must be able to sing solo & hold own harmony parts. Dancing not required, but singers need to move well and be very comfortable onstage. Acting experience preferred…good comedic timing a must. Prepare any 2 Sinatra songs (1 uptempo & 1 ballad) for Saturday’s audition. Bring background tracks on CD (no accompanist provided) plus recent head-shot & resume. Those who make the first cut will be asked to learn one or two specific songs and some dialogue from the show for Thursday’s call-back audition.

All auditions will be held in the Wolf Theater, Clarion Hotel & Casino, 305 Convention Center Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89109

Character Breakdown:

CARMINE:

  • Male, can play 50-65 years of age
  • Distinguished, older, classy gentleman
  • Very personable…”leader” of the group
  • Vocal range: G (below middle C) to F (above high C)
  • Songs include: “Come Fly with Me,” “The Song is You,” “All the Way”

LISA:

  • Female, can play 25-40 years of age
  • Sexy, smart
  • Ability to belt out some songs yet sing heartfelt & sweet on others.
  • Vocal range: A (below middle C) to F (above high C) … highest BELTED note is an Eb (above high C)
  • Songs include: “My Funny Valentine,” “Come Rain or Come Shine” (duet), “The Best is Yet to Come” (duet)

RYAN:

  • Male, can play 20-35 years of age
  • Young, intelligent (but a bit naive), good-looking
  • Vocal range: G (below middle C) to Ab (above high C)
  • Songs include: “All or Nothing At All,” “The Best is Yet to Come” (duet), “You Make Me Feel So Young/Young at Heart”

LARRY:

  • Male, can play 35-50 years of age
  • A womanizing “player” and drinker, but somehow incredibly likable too (think pseudo “Dean Martin” personality)…not overly bright, but very charming.
  • Vocal range: G (below middle C) to F# (above high C)
  • Songs include: “The Way You Look Tonight,” “Come Rain or Come Shine” (duet), “I’ve Got You Under My Skin”
